GTA 6 Trailer Possibly Teased By Rockstar Job Listing.
Rockstar may be getting ready to ramp up the marketing on GTA 6 or GTA V's next-gen port as the dev is hiring someone to capture gameplay footage.

It would seem a new Rockstar job listing may be hinting that the company is getting ready to unveil GTA 6. Many fans have been hoping that the long-awaited follow-up to GTA 5 is just around the corner following Red Dead Redemption 2's release and it seems like it could be happening soon.
It has been over 7 years since the release of GTA 5 on Xbox 360 and PS3, and while that may seem like a long time, the game has so far been keeping itself fresh. Following a wealth of content updates, a PC and Xbox One/PS4 port, and all kinds of new innovations to the game's ever-popular online mode, many have wondered if Rockstar will ever want to step away from GTA 5. After all, why would the developer spend tons of money on a new game when the last one still has plenty of life left in it? That said, given how many fans are eagerly awaiting the title, GTA 6 has the potential to far outstrip the profits of its predecessor.

With that said, Rockstar is hiring someone to come aboard as a "Cinematic Gameplay Capture Artist" (via DualShockers). This position is basically the person who would go and capture all of the footage seen in trailers, making it as cinematic as possible. Given Rockstar has a knack for making trailers, this would essentially boil down to being an in-game cinematographer and director. This allows the studio to use gameplay footage exclusively in the trailer, rather than making CG trailers or using conceptual footage, meaning that what the studio shows in the marketing will be pretty close to the final product.

The fact that Rockstar is hiring for this role likely means the studio is about to start ramping up the marketing on something. This could be GTA 6 or it could just be new footage for GTA 5's port, which is expected to feature new, exclusive content for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Whatever the case may be, it seems like Rockstar is getting ready to showcase something in the coming weeks or months, and that in and of itself is exciting regardless.
It's unclear what this project will be, so fans shouldn't get too excited for GTA 6 too soon. If this is GTA 6, it'll likely put to rest or confirm some rumors such as the inclusion of a female protagonist. It's also likely that, given the way Rockstar operates, this will just be a teaser, and the game won't actually release for another year or two. After all, the studio has an unfortunate habit of delaying its games after revealing them.
